basic is 7 weeks and u will be in san antonio texas....no contact besides maybe a weekly phone call is what i got. my wife went in during christmas so i got a holiday call...after that u get sent to tech school for job training immedietely after basic to a random state and that can vary between 4 months to a year depending on your MOS. then after u graduate that u can get sent to your duty station and if ur married ur wife gets the move completely paid for

tech school u get ur phone and stuff u just can barely see ur loved one. and there are stages to tech school like the first month ur there u are locked on base then after u can get off base access and see ur loved ones off base
